It is the start of the 12 days Cairo and the Red Sea Holidays Package! One representative will be waiting for you at Cairo International Airport. After the initial assistance, you will be taken to your hotel in a private vehicle. Your tour manager will help you with the check-in and discuss your itinerary with you. After that, enjoy a 'Welcome Drink' on us and have the rest of the day for yourself. If you wish, you can enjoy an optional excursion to the Giza Plateau to watch the fantastic Light & Sound show by the Pyramids of Giza.
Enjoy the breakfast at your hotel. Your tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up for an exciting 2nd day of the 12 days Cairo and Red Sea Holidays Package. You will be taken to the Giza Plateau, where you will be face to face with one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Giza. Take the opportunity to also see the Sphinx and the Temple Valley, on the same site. After Giza, you will be transferred to Sakkara and visit the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser, one of the first pyramids to be built. Return to your hotel. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch
It's another day of the 12 days Cairo and the Red Sea Holidays Package, and Cairo adventures are ahead! After breakfast, your first stop: the Cairo Museum, which holds the biggest collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts, and where a room is dedicated only for King Tutankhamun's treasures. You can also visit the Mummies room, but note that an extra ticket is necessary. Then it is time for Khan El Khalili, one of the oldest open bazaars in the region, and the oldest in Egypt dated back to the XIV century. It is an amazing place to feel the vibes of the city, buy souvenirs or simply walk around. Finally, you will be escorted to Giza's Railway Station to take the sleeper train to Aswan. Welcome to Aswan for the 4th day of the 12 days Cairo and the Red Sea Holidays Package! You will be greet and met at the train station and transferred to your hotel. On this day you can choose between Aswan or Abu Simbel tour. The Abu Simbel temples are magnificent temples carved in rocks and built by Ramses II in 1300 BC. They were saved from submerging in the waters of the Nasser lake and moved to a new location. In case you wish to do this tour, then it will happen on Day 5 and the attractions of that day will be visited on Day 4, therefore swapping the days. Meals included: Breakfast
How's the 12 days Cairo and Red Sea Holidays Package going so far? After breakfast at your hotel, our representative will take you to embark on your Nile cruise. After lunch, you will visit the Aswan High Dam, which was built as a solution for the Nile constant flooding issue and to better irrigate the countryside fields. Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which would be the biggest obelisk in Egypt if finished - but even unfinished its fame was not affected! Last but not least, let's take a boat to Agilkia Island and explore Philae´s Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Time to return to the cruise and enjoy a delicious dinner. We are in the middle of the 12 days Cairo and Red Sea Holidays Package, and a lot is yet to come. For today, after breakfast onboard the cruise, you will sail towards Kom Ombo, where you will visit the temple of the same name. This is a peculiar temple, as in reality, we are talking about two identical temples built to worship the gods Horus and Sobek. Return to the ship and this time sail towards another temple, Edfu´s Temple, dedicated to Horus. Amongst the highlights of this place, we can see two magnificent statues in the entrance. Enjoying the 12 days Cairo and Red Sea Holidays Package? So keep enjoying the morning onboard your cruise while sailing to Luxor. You will pass through Esna on the way. Once in Luxor, the first stop will be Karnak Temple, which sizes make it the largest ancient religious complex in the world. Explore its many temples and take many pictures in the Hypostyle Hall. Then you will be taken to the amazing Luxor Temple, built to worship the god Amun. Optionally, you can watch the Sound & Light Show in the evening, which tells the story of these magnificent temples. The 8th day of the 12 days Cairo and Red Sea Holidays Package will start with a great morning and breakfast onboard the ship followed by exploring the Valley of the Kings, resting place of kings and princes. So far, 63 tombs were discovered there, including the famous King Tutankhamun's tomb. From there, head straight to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, whose temple is not only spectacular as unique in style. Next comes the Colossi of Memnon, the twin statues of King Amenhotep III, and after that you can enjoy free time in Luxor before we hit the road to Hurghada (around 4h drive). Then, welcome to Hurghada! You will be taken to your hotel where you can rest. Meals included: Breakfast
Mosques and all other places of worship occupied a high and greatly respected place in the hearts of most Egyptians There aren’t really special clothes to be put on while visiting a mosque in Egypt; however, conservative attire would be highly recommended. In some mosques, women will be asked to cover their hair and perhaps their arms and legs. Both women and men will be asked to remove their shoes before entering a mosque.
Usually, the check-in time is at 11:00 AM after breakfast and before Lunch. As most Flights arrive much earlier, Immediate access to your cabin will be provided if available. If the option is unavailable, however, you will kindly be asked to wait until check-in time. A good way to kill time and make the most of the previous situation is to start your tours early in your trip.
Normally, Nile Cruise Check out Time is at 8:00 or 9:00 AM right after Breakfast. However, if your Flight or Train is running late, all the cruise facilities are under your beck & call, except the Cabin and the Restaurant. Moreover, you can safely keep your luggage onboard your designated Cruise and explore the city until your flight/train departure time.
The two standard meal plan variations for a Nile Cruise is All-inclusive & Full Board with the Latter being the most common. Full Board options include all meals in either a Set menu of Buffet form, served at a fixed time with the meals & food with quality and variety differing depending on the quality of the cruise itself. Items that are not included in the meal plan are beverages except for the breakfast tea, coffee, juice, afternoon tea are all complimentary & free of charge. For The Nile Cruise Crew: Usually, there are around 50 to 70 employees onboard the cruise ship and all contribute to make your trip a wonderful journey. Considering this fact, it's advisable to Equally distribute the tip amongst the crew. Although there's a strict rule against tipping during the trip a great way to do it is to leave an envelope at the cruise reception with the total amount which they will divide equally amongst the crew members. In conclusion, tipping is an act of courtesy and not obligatory by any means.
